Yesterday I saw a cartoon picture, where one friend asked other, “Why so optimistic about 2019? What do you think it will bring? Everything seems so messed up.”
“I think it will bring flower”, other said.
Really? How come?
“Because I am planting flowers”, he answered.
There are many people around ask us, “What is your new year resolution”? Even if they know that there is less chance that resolution will survive for a single week but there is a chance at least.
Why should we wait for the New Year?
Many people say, “Change has nothing to do with the near year or any specific time. If I want to change some habit or begin something, I can do it any time. Why should we wait for the New Year?”
Ideally, you should not. You can start anytime in the year. What’s better than that. However, sometimes, we use these kinds of statements to procrastinate again and again. I also had a similar thought many times and lost many opportunities to initiate something.
This is the beginning of the year. If you are thinking about something for a long time but has not started yet, then this could be the right time. After all, Near year is also a part of Any time right? Well, there is another advantage as well.
Do you remember when you stuck in some problem and it took a whole day but you were not able to figure out? For example:
- You got some issue in office that you were not able to resolve that day. It seems that there is no solution. Suddenly, the next morning you were able to fix it with ease.
- You had some financial crises and whole day no one seems to help. The next morning, you were able to figure out the various possible option that was not visible yesterday.
- You heard some bad news and found yourself broken-hearted
whole day. The world seems to end but the next day you wake with enthusiasm to deal with the situation.
A New year is like a new morning of

There is plenty of room for improvement:
Do you have goals that are yet to achieve? For that, you need action steps that are still to take.
We always have many habits that need to change for our betterment. For that, we have to begin with small steps.
Ultimately, we always have room to improve ourselves. We kill the chances by saying that I do not have any resolution for the new year.
Let us make a New Year’s Resolution
More than half of us, give up on our resolutions within six months and only a few ultimately succeed by the end of the year.
However, people who succeed are one those decided and started somewhere. This year let us make a new year’s resolution to achieve our goals and create a better version of our-self.
